The Internal Services feature was designed to give property managers the ability to schedule additional tasks for their staff or team while still scheduling work with their subcontractors.
Here are some of the things you will be able to do:
- Create custom services with checklists and schedule those services with your staff
- Manually schedule ad hoc tasks or automate tasks based on the reservation schedule
- Run payroll for the work performed by your staff
STEP 1: Turn on the Internal Service Feature
Navigate to your name icon at the top right and My Account
- Click on Additional Features.
- Scroll to Internal Services and move the slider to the right. The click UPDATE.
STEP 1: Create Your Menu of Services
- Navigate to SETUP >> Internal Services
- Click the Add Internal Services button to add the various services you do for your properties.
STEP 2: Add Your Services to Your Properties
There are two ways to accomplish this step. You can either go to Properties >> Property List and edit each individual property or you can go to Property Price Config to edit more properties at once.
To edit the services per property:
- Click on Properties, Price config, and then select the Internal services tab.
- Find the property to set up the service from the service list menu
- Select the + to add additional internal services to the proeprty
- You can also set the Service Checklist that you'd like your team to use for each service. See this support article for how to create service checklists.
STEP 3: To Automate or Not to Automate
As of today (11/9/2021), the integration with your property management system will only automate tasks for your subcontractors or for your internal staff but not both. We plan to make updates in the future to allow double automation.
In the meantime, if you would like to automate internal tasks, within the property page:
- Simply click the radio button next to Internal Services. When this is clicked, the integration will automatically schedule the default internal service you have configured for that property.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click SAVE.
STEP 4: To Schedule Ad Hoc Internal Services
- Navigate to Appointments >> Schedule >>Internal Services.
- Select the Property, the Service, the Service Date, the Team Member to perform the service, and any other relevant information for that appointment.
- Click SCHEDULE. The appointment will then be scheduled for the date that you entered.
- Your Team Member will see this service scheduled in his/her app just like housekeepers do on the cleaner side.
